Abstract / Description

Die KADDS ist ein Fragebogen zur Erfassung des Fachwissens einer Person über die Aufmerksamkeitsdefizit-Hyperaktivitätsstörung (ADHS). Sie wurde von Sciutto und Kollegen (2000) entwickelt, um vorhandenes und fehlendes Wissen sowie Fehlannahmen bei Eltern von Kindern mit ADHS, deren Lehrkräften und Erziehern sowie weiterem pädagogischem und klinischem Fachpersonal zu erfassen. Der Fragebogen kann aber auch bei Studierenden und anderen Erwachsenen eingesetzt werden. Die KADDS umfasst 36 Aussagen über die ADHS, verteilt auf die Skalen (1) Symptome und Diagnostik der ADHS, (2) Behandlung der ADHS, (3) Allgemeine Aspekte der Störung in Form von Ursachen oder Verlauf. Reliabilität: Die interne Konsistenz liegt bei Cronbachs Alpha = .69 (Gesamtskala) bzw. Alpha = .29-.52 (Skalenebene). Validität (Inhalts- und Konstruktvalidität): Bei der Entwicklung der KADDS (englische Originalversion) wurden in die Skala nur Items aufgenommen, deren inhaltliche Aussagen empirisch bestätigt und ausreichend dokumentiert wurden. Die Interkorrelationen zwischen den Subskalen sind signifikant und moderat ausgeprägt. Teilnehmer einer Weiterbildung zum Thema ADHS schnitten im Post- und Follow-up-Test auf den KADDS-Items deutlich besser ab als vor dem Workshop (= Änderungssensitivität).
The KADDS is a questionnaire to measure a person's expertise on attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). It was developed by Sciutto and colleagues (2000) to assess existing and missing knowledge and misconceptions among parents of children with ADHD, their teachers and educators, and other educational and clinical professionals. The questionnaire can also be used by students and other adults. The KADDS contains 36 statements on ADHD, divided into the scales (1) Symptoms and diagnosis of ADHD, (2) Treatment of ADHD, (3) General aspects of the disorder in terms of cause or course. Reliability: The internal consistency is Cronbach's Alpha = .69 (total scale) or Alpha = .29-.52 (scale level). Validity (content and construct validity): During the development of the KADDS (original English version) only items were included in the scale whose content statements were empirically confirmed and sufficiently documented. The intercorrelations between the subscales are significant and moderately pronounced. Participants of a further training on ADHD scored significantly better on the KADDS items in the post- and follow-up test than before the workshop (= change sensitivity).
