Abstract / Description

Die SDS dient der Erfassung des Schweregrades einer depressiven Stimmung anhand von vier Subskalen (motivationale, emotionale, kognitive und somatische Anteile einer depressiven Symptomatik). Die Langfassung besteht aus 16 Items, die Kurzfassung aus 6 Items (ohne Subskalen). Reliabilität: Die interne Konsistenz nach Cronbach betrug für den Gesamtwert Alpha = .94 (Langfassung) und Alpha = .92 (Kurzfassung). Für die Subskalen bewegten sich die Werte zwischen Alpha = .71-.89. Validität: Die Konstruktvalidität wurde überprüft. Weitere Untersuchungen wurden anhand weiterer Kriterien (u.a. Gewicht, Sexualtrieb, Berufstätigkeit) berechnet.
The SDS is used to assess the severity of depressive symptoms using four subscales (motivational, emotional, cognitive and somatic components of depressive symptoms). The long version consists of 16 items, the short version of 6 items (without subscales). Reliability: The internal consistency according to Cronbach was alpha = .94 (long version) and alpha = .92 (short version) for the total score. For the subscales, the values ranged between alpha = .71-.89. Validity: The construct validity was checked. Further tests were calculated based on various criteria (e.g. weight, sex drive, occupation).
