Abstract / Description

Das Complex Personality Inventory (CPI) nach Himmer-Gurdan (2007) ist ein modernes bimodales Messinstrument zur Erfassung komplexer, vielschichtiger und facettenreicher Persönlichkeit. Angelehnt an das Fünf-Faktoren-Modell der Persönlichkeit (Costa & McCrae, 1985) wurden die fünf Dimensionen Extraversion, Verträglichkeit, Gewissenhaftigkeit, Offenheit für Erfahrungen und Neurotizismus eigenständig operationalisiert und zu jedem dieser Faktoren die jeweils komplementäre Dimension entwickelt. Es beinhaltet 13 Skalen und insgesamt 70 Items. Reliabilität: Die Reliabilität der einzelnen Skalen (Cronbachs Alpha) liegt zwischen α =.72 und α = .86. Validität: Die Konstrukt- und Kriteriumsvalidierung erfolgte mit dem NEO-FFI von Borkenau und Ostendorf (1993, dt. Übersetzung; Original von Costa & McCrae, 1985) sowie an verschiedenen Außenkriterien.
The Complex Personality Inventory (CPI) according to Himmer-Gurdan (2007) is a modern bimodal measurement instrument for the assessment of complex, multi-layered and multifaceted personality. Based on the five-factor model of personality (Costa & McCrae, 1985), the five dimensions of extraversion, agreeableness, conscientiousness, openness to experience, and neuroticism were operationalized independently and the respective complementary dimension was developed for each of these factors. It contains 13 scales and a total of 70 items. Reliability: The reliability of the various scales (Cronbach's alpha) ranges from α =.72 to α = .86. Validity: The construct and criterion validation was carried out with the NEO-FFI by Borkenau and Ostendorf (1993, German translation; original by Costa & McCrae, 1985) as well as on various external criteria.
