Materials: R crash course

Abstract / Description
R is a very powerful language for statistical computing in many disciplines of research and has a steep learning curve. The software is open source, freely available and has a thriving community. This crash course provides an overview of Base-R concepts for beginners and covers the topics 1) introduction into R, 2) reading, saving, and viewing data, 3) selecting and changing objects in R, and 4) descriptive statistics.This course was held by Lisa Spitzer on September 3, 2021, as a precursor to the R tidyverse Workshop by Aurélien Ginolhac and Roland Krause (September 8 - 10, 2021).
