Das erschöpfte Selbst der Psychologie

Gegenwärtig gibt es eine inflationäre Beschäftigung mit dem Thema Burnout, das im globalen Kapitalismus fast alle Berufsgruppen und auch die privaten Lebenswelten erreicht hat und es ist eindeutig, dass die helfenden Berufe an der Spitze der Erschöpfung rangieren. Reicht es, mehr »Selbstsorge« oder »Achtsamkeit« zu empfehlen? So wichtig das auch ist, so bleibt doch letztlich die Notwendigkeit, das psychosoziale Handeln in einen größeren gesellschaftlichen Kontext zu stellen und an der Überwindung der zunehmenden »Gesellschaftsblindheit« oder »sozialen Amnesie« der aktuellen Psychologie zu arbeiten. Die ganze PSY-Zunft ist seit den 80er Jahren in ihrem Siegeszug gestoppt worden. Die utopischen Energien sind auch ihr im Zuge der neoliberalen Globalisierung immer mehr ausgegangen und sie befindet sich im allgemeinen gesellschaftlichen Krisenmodus. Die Psychologie ist vom gesellschaftlichen Strukturwandel in elementarer Weise betroffen. Die kritische Reflexion setzte erst allmählich ein und sie muss fortgesetzt und vertieft werden. Gerade die Erschöpfungssymptome der PSY-Professionellen selbst erfordern eine Analyse ihrer Entstehungsbedingungen.

There remains ultimately the need to contextualize the psychosocial work in a broader social frame and to work on overcoming the increasing "social blindness" or "social amnesia" of the current psychology. The whole PSY guild has been stopped in its triumphal march since the '80s. The utopian energies are also considered more and more exhausted in the course of neoliberal globalization and the psychosocial Professions are in the general social crisis mode. The psychology is affected by the social changes in an elementary way. The critical reflection began only gradually and it must be continued and intensified. Just fatigue symptoms of PSY-professionals, requiring an analysis of the conditions of their occurence.
