Traumatherapie zwischen Widerstand und Anpassung

Die Individuen in der Gesellschaft bewegen sich in einer unauflöslichen Dialektik von Widerstand und Anpassung (Peter Brückner). Bei der Therapie von Opfern von organisierter Gewalt und Verfolgung wird diese Dialektik oft zu einer schwer erträglichen Spannung. Die Reflexion dieser Spannung durch den Therapeuten/die Therapeutin und das jeweilige Team ist unabdingbar und wichtig. Insbesondere der Affekt der Empörung, welcher auf die gesellschaftliche Verleugnung und das verbreitete »Blaming the Victim« antwortet, muss bewältigt werden. Life of human individuals in a society takes place in a dialectical relation between adaptation and resistance (Peter Brückner). In the treatment of victims of organized violence and persecution, this dialectical relation is often turning into a stressful tension. The reflection of this tension by the therapist, and also by his or her team, is essential. Especially the personal indignation, which is an answer to the social trauma and the »blaming the victim« has to be managed.
