Hogrefe Data and Supplementary Material at PsychArchives

Welcome to PsychArchives, the disciplinary repository for psychological science!

In September 2018, the German Psychological Society (DGPs), the Hogrefe Publishing Group, and the Leibniz Institute for Psychology (ZPID) have entered a partnership to foster research transparency, reproducibility, and replicability in Psychology, encompassing a comprehensive and interrelated set of open science offerings. Read the full announcement of the partnership here.

Within the frame of the cooperation, PsychArchives, which is developed and operated by ZPID, has become a preferred repository for Hogrefe journals. Prof. Dr. Michael Bosnjak, director of ZPID, explains: "PsychArchives will store and archive research data, protocols and study-related materials, with data being made open access once it is published in a Hogrefe journal. The aim in the medium term is that this will replace the existing options authors have of submitting data sets as electronic supplementary materials for open access publication along with their article."

PsychArchives is a disciplinary repository for psychological science and neighboring disciplines. In PsychArchives, a variety of digital research objects (DROs), including articles, preprints, research data, code, supplements, preregistrations, tests and multimedia objects, are made accessible for the long term. Accepting 20 different DRO types, PsychArchives preserves any research-related output worth archiving and making accessible; related objects, e.g. from the same study, are linked within the repository.

We are looking forward to your contribution! PsychArchives offers the following benefits:

  • Shared DROs - research outputs from the entire cycle of psychological research are welcome.
  • Citable and discoverable - uploads are assigned a Digital Object Identifier (DOI) to make them easily and uniquely citable.
  • Open licensing - fostering re-use and open science.
  • Safe - your research output is stored safely for the future at a sustainable, publicly funded infrastructure.
